The Palace, City, della Vittoria and Roma e Pace hotels are located in the centre of Ancona. The Fortuna, Italia, Dorico and della Rosa hotels are close to the train station. The congress venue at the engineering college can be reached, from the centre or from the station, by the city buses (see Transportation).

The Sporting, Europa and Touring hotels, instead, are located 3, 4 and 8 km north of the train station, in the direction of Falconara Marittima. The Concorde hotel is located about 7 km south of the engineering college. These last hotels can accomodate a large number of people; however, the connections with the congress venue and the city centre, by the long distance buses of Conerobus are less frequent and the time of travel to the university can easily be over half an hour. It is therefore advisable to use the car.

The prices shown in the table are reserved for the AIMETA meeting and are somewhat discounted with respect to the official fares. It ls possible that, even during the time of the congress, lower rates could be found - for the same hotels listed here - by using well known search engines on internet. These offers, however, usually exist for a limited number of rooms and cannot guarantee the full hotel coverage of our agreement.

The LOW BUDGET accomodations are rather simple and are intended for those participants, like students or fellowship holders, who need to limit their expenses.

In the neighbourhood of Ancona there are several tourist places with a good supply of hotels. We list here some hotels, of which, however, we cannot guarantee availability of rooms and prices. The connections by public transport are difficult, and we advise booking at these structures only to those participants who travel by their own means. It might be an attractive solution for those who might wish to stay a bit longer than the congress in order to visit the Ancona region.

At still larger distance from Ancona, there are other tourist places with large availability of hotels, such as MARCELLI (24 km from Ancona), PORTO RECANATI (30 km from Ancona) and SENIGALLIA (30 km from Ancona) and the towns of JESI (30 km from Ancona) and OSIMO (18 km from Ancona), of historical interest with important monuments.
